Welcome!
Thanks for stopping by my site! I have been writing stories since I was in sixth grade. I loved writing stories for children and even tried my hand at poetry. When I was in 11th grade, I wrote for the school newspaper. My articles went from fun and frivilous to an in-depth report on dating violence. That year I even wrote a story for kids that my teacher, Mrs. Wilson, helped me edit and sent it off to a publisher. A few months later I received my first rejection. But it didn't phase me, the writing bug had fully bitten me.  I continued to write stories into my early 20s but I didn't become serious about writing until I became a reporter in 1997. After several years as a reporter, I worked an editor and layout specialist for daily, weekly and monthly publications. I also continued to write fictional stories for children and started making puzzles and crafts for them as well. I enjoy writing micro and flash fiction stories for adults, and have found much success in getting these stories published. You will also find an extensive collection of resources for writers, with a focus on writing for children. I also have also included a short tutorial on how to write micro fiction. You can find links to some of my writing friends who also write for children. You can't be a writer for children without having a place just for them!
